Nursing Board reminds RNs of approaching license renewal deadline
Online renewal available
Jefferson City, Mo. -- The Missouri Board of Nursing is reminding Registered Nurses that they have until April 30, 2009, to renew their RN licenses.
According to the Board, there are more than 91,000 RNs currently licensed in Missouri, and about 25 percent of those still need to renew their two-year license before April 30.
The Board mailed out renewal notices as a courtesy to licensed RNs in February, but reminds licensees that it's their responsibility to renew even if they didn't receive the renewal notice. Board Executive Director Lori Scheidt says about five percent of the notices were returned due to outdated mailing addresses.
Licensees can renew by:
- Visiting the Board Web site at pr.mo.gov. RNs who have their renewal notice can use the PIN provided to register and pay online;or
- Contacting the Board and requesting a new renewal form by mailor fax.
To contact the Board, call 573-751-0681 or e-mail nursing@pr.mo.gov.
