State officials hosting events for Branson-area residents affected by Leap Day storms
Individuals, businesses invited to bring insurance questions
Jefferson City, Mo. - Representatives from the Missouri Department of Insurance will be available to assist consumers at a storm recovery event in Branson on Tuesday. Consumers with damage from the tornadoes and severe storms on Feb. 29 can ask questions about home, commercial, auto or other types of insurance during three State Storm Response meetings at the Hamner Barber Theater.
Other agencies present at the events will be the Missouri Department of Labor, Department of Economic Development, Taney County Business Partnership Development, Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and the Ozark Workforce Investment Board.
Workers who lost their job as a result of the storms can file unemployment claims on-site at the response sessions. Missouri Housing Development Commission representatives will also be on hand to assist those who have lost their homes.
